From the field to the platform
Seven years of endpoint work, starting with a cart of laptops and ending with the console that manages 25,000 of them.
I am a Platform Administrator on the Molina Healthcare project through Infosys. I support Tanium, Absolute Secure Endpoint, and CrowdStrike Falcon across more than 25,000 endpoints in a regulated healthcare environment. Most days that means patch baselines, package creation, deployment scheduling, and being the escalation point when something in Tanium is not behaving the way it should.
Before that I spent eight months at Chuco, a Tanium partner, working inside the product itself. Sensors, saved questions, packages, RBAC, client health, and a Windows 10 to Windows 11 migration run as an in-place upgrade through Tanium Deploy. That role is where the platform stopped being a tool I used and became a thing I understood.
The path there ran through the City of Atlanta, Atlanta Public Schools, and Coretelligent. Imaging machines, Intune enrollment, MDF closets, engineering software, and a lot of tickets. It is useful background for platform work, because I have been the person on the receiving end of a bad deployment.
Outside of work I run a home lab documented at kabason.net . It runs on Proxmox VE and VMware ESXi with 20+ self-hosted services behind Authentik and Cloudflare Tunnels. It is where I break things on purpose, so I am not learning them for the first time in production.
